It's My Favorite Day of the Year!

That was the most obvious title. i love my bday, no fail, every year. December 27th!!! i have 720 facebook friends, and i like to see who of them remembers to write something on the wall. in a way, facebook is a horrible thing, but it's The mode of communication. My friend Katie got a facebook for the first time about 4 days ago, it was a big deal. My favorite thing this christmas was that my brother taught me how to complete a Rubik's Cube. it is damn complicated.

Today, for once, changing ages DOES feel different. It's like someone tossed me into the realm of 20-something's.
can't wait to drive lizhook around in my car dub pumpin'!!!

REPETITION is wonderful--gaga analysis

i watch/experience lady gaga's Bad Romance video over and over and over

i'm obviously attracted to the light moving across the walls at the beginning, and her freeeak!!! i'm proud of her creativity and audacity you go ga ga.

it's an interesting mix between
-her being controlled/sold and owning it
-her covering herself up and resisting/dancing confidently like she's hawt
-weakness/admirable amounts of energy.
the crying parts are a good contrast but irritate me. the outfits look GOOD and there are so many and they are pretty complex! the story line makes more sense after a few views; it's nice that it's not obvious and that the end is not exactly like the beginning.

Note-worthy parts:

gaga creatures crawl out:

singing calmly to the mirror in a turtleneck. turtlenecks have a special place in my heart:

favorite 3 second shot-huge doll eyes google around her head and then look at YOU! video viewing is necessary for appreciation:

choreographed dancing (i'm pretty sure one of the moves is the 'father son holy ghost' move). a nice organized reprieve:

"still" while camera circles her:
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

yup. she's wearing that.:

preview/hyping for gaga booty paired with dramatic pause in the song:

the one gaga booty scene:

(really quick and from really far away! she wants you to work for it obviously)

THE END
the guy who bought her does not get fucked (gaga power!):

there are a couple things that i didn't hit on but those are most of my thoughts on this video, now i can move foreward with my life.
notice that i didn't really talk about the song.

comm

Reasons why someone doesn't reply to a text/answer their phone:
they are:
in class (50-80 mins)
exercising (30 mins)
sleeping (8 hours)

battery has died/mins run out
phone was forgotten
phone has been lost/broken

non technical reasons (unlikely):
ignoring
unsure of how to respond (very unlikely)
forgot to respond (forgetful or under an influence)

what else? what does this mean? how will this change in the future? communication will interrupt sleep i'm sure, it's a high, HIGH priority.

A movie, jealousy

Neon Gold is going positively crazy about this video!! I see their point. look.

Miles Fisher - This Must Be The Place (Cover) from Miles Fisher on Vimeo.

i felt some feelings of jealousy today, partly caused by being replaced as a bff... oh well, for real it is sort of okay, but i looked up a bit on jealousy online, and never having thought much about it i find this pretty interesting: (off lifechoicesweb.com)

"Is Jealousy threatening your relationships? Jealousy involves fear, fear of loss, insecurity, the worry of being replaced with someone else. Jealousy is directly related to your self-esteem and leads to self-defeating behaviors. It can cause people to act desperately, it can control your life.

What causes jealousy? Where do these unwanted emotions come from? Causes may include low self-esteem and confidence, a belief that you are not good enough. You may be more susceptible to jealousy if you have a history of experiences that created distrust, maturity also effects jealousy, over dependent people who rely solely on their mate or for gratification are susceptible.

If you become more authentic you can get past your jealousy by creating your own uniqueness. Do not get in the habit of comparing yourself to other people. You are an individual with your own personality.

Throughout our lives we play patterns of interaction we have learned from our culture. When we feel the threat of being replaced in one of our roles, we become desperate and feel the need to be the best player of that part. Our inner voice tells us that excellence is the best way to beat the competition. So we compete with ourselves: We try to be the best companions for those we want to attract, the best partner, best sex-partners, best cooks, the most fun. In doing so, you lose your individuality. Your personality comes from your uniqueness. Find out what’s missing in your life, and pursue it. Find out who you are and let it show. Real love arises from the appreciation of each other's uniqueness

You are responsible for your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Learn to identify and challenge irrational thoughts and beliefs and develop your healthy ones. Realize that no one is the best at everything and in trying you will lose yourself. Stay true to who you are and others will stay true to you."
